It may
take you two to three
days to acclimate to the
elevation and dry
environment of Northern
New Mexico.
We are here in the high
desert (5600 feet in
elevation) so bring a
water bottle and drink
lots of water to avoid
dehydration and always
have sunscreen and a hat
with you.
Daytime temperatures can
rise into the high 90s
and occasionally go over
100.
The nights will be much
cooler and sudden
intense rainstorms can
occur.
What to Bring

Warm, layered
clothing appropriate
for yoga, serving,
and playing.

Notebook for
classroom

Hat or visor for sun

Rain gear, including
an umbrella.

White clothing and
head covering for
classes

A shawl or blanket,
and slippers or
thick socks, for
cool mornings

Sheepskin or yoga
mat, light blanket
for morning sadhana.

Toiletries
(including
sunscreen, lip balm,
lotion, toothbrush,
toothpaste, etc.)
and towels. These
items are not for
sale on site.

Battery powered
alarm clock and
batteries.

Daypack to hold the
things you will want
to have with you
over the course of
each day.

Flashlight with
spare batteries.

Eating utensils,
bowl, plate, cup
(for hot and cold
beverages), and
cloth napkins.

Water bottle
(bottled water
dispensers are
available in the
classroom)

Back jacks will be
available for
student use during
classes.
